Feeling happy and queer at the same time.<\/li>\n<li>6: Composed by me with some of my roots in Jazz in mind.<\/li>\n<li>7: Cover song &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=u7K72X4eo_s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Teardrop<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>8: Composed by me with a G as rhythmic constant.<\/li>\n<li>9: Composed by me as a byproduct of 8.<\/li>\n<li>10: Variation on Beethoven&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZKGR-b13_co&amp;feature=youtu.be&amp;t=2m59s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Piano Sonata No. 1 in F minor<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>11: Composed by me in 2008 while in Los Angeles.<\/li>\n<li>12: Composed by me after listening to and playing some Boogies.<\/li>\n<li>13: Recorded during a rehearsal for the drummer&#8217;s entrance examination at Johannes Bruckner University Linz.<\/li>\n<li>14: Birds in the City &#8211; With the US leaving the Paris Climate Agreement this seemed worthy a recording.<\/li>\n<li>15: Composed by me after listening to some Monk tunes.<\/li>\n<li>16: Composed by me with the goal in mind that the left hand should play the melody.<\/li>\n<li>17: Composed by me with the goal in mind to write something in E Major.<\/li>\n<li>18: Composed by me with the goal in mind to write something that could pass as Jazz ballad.<\/li>\n<li>19: Composed by me with the goal to create some variations of the same harmonic material.<\/li>\n<li>20: Transcription &#8211; Album version Chris Thile &#038; Brad Mehldau&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=84M1kkKF24k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Old Shade Tree<\/a>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>21: Composed by me with the goal to let off some steam.<\/li>\n<li>22: Composed by me with nothing but the form ABA in mind<\/li>\n<li>23: 8th note improvisation over blues in F, trying not to default back to the F blues scale too often.<\/li>\n<li>24: Composed by me by trying to &#8220;phase around&#8221; right and left hand.<\/li>\n<li>25: Composed by me by shifting a #11 motive in whole tones. It&#8217;s funny how the same thing can be perceived as light-footed (at the beginning) or menacing (at the end).<\/li>\n<li>26: Composed by me by overdubbing some vocal percussion.<\/li>\n<li>27: Composed by me with Dave Grusin in Mind<\/li>\n<li>28: Composed by me with the constraint that the C-G-G Ostinato (heard in the second half) should work over the whole tune.<\/li>\n<li>29: Johann Sebastian Bach &#8211; Prelude in C Sharp, Das Wohltemperierte Klavier, Buch 1, BWV 848. I still can&#8217;t decide whether I like the &#8220;Dah-Dap-Dah-Dap&#8221; phrasing (first half) or the &#8220;Dap-Dah-Dap-Dah&#8221; phrasing (second half) better. I found recordings from renown artists both ways. The first phrasing feels better suited for Bach to me, while the second has more groove.<\/li>\n<li>30: Composed by me with the goal to write a good night \/ good bye song.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another 30 Days Challenge!
